קיבוע שהתנתק

בסיום הטיפול האורתודונטי מבוצעת לרוב הדבקת קיבוע של חוט מתכתי הנצמד לחלקם האחורי של השיניים באמצעות דבק מיוחד.
לעיתים עקב אכילה לא זהירה, צחצוח או שחיקה של הדבק – חלה התנתקות של חוט הקיבוע. החוט עשוי להישאר חופשי בפה ובמקרה כזה להציק לרקמה הרכה. 

מומלץ להתקשר למרפאתנו בהקדם האפשרי לחידוש הקיבוע, ועד אז להשתדל להרכיב את פלטת הרטנציה שנמסרת לרוב בעת הדבקת הקיבוע בכל לילה (ורצוי אף יותר מכך) עד לקביעת התור. כל זאת על מנת למנוע תזוזת שיניים שתאלץ אותנו לבצע טיפול חוזר להחזרתן למקום.

מחקרים מראים כי מומלץ להשאיר את הקיבוע לשנים רבות ולכן מומלץ להגיע לביקורות תקופתיות לוודא את שלמותו.
התנתקות של הקיבוע לאחר מספר שנים מעיד לרוב על שינוי בסגר שגורם ללחץ ולשחיקה של הקיבוע ולשבירתו. לא תמיד ניתן להתקין קיבוע חדש בגלל מבנה הסגר שהשתנה ולכן יש להיוועץ איתנו בהקדם.
